This could be the best day of my life aside from various break ups.... no this is still the best day of my life. I was reunited with...my stuff! It has been in Utah in storage for 4 long months while I tried to make a go of it in NYC with my 2 suitcases and one carry on. My stuff traveled on my bro's moving van from Utah and stopped in Kansas City with his in-laws where my dad picked it up and then the van will travel on to NYC to my bro and his wife. They are living in a cute little apartment in Washington Heights (northern Manhattan) - only a few blocks from the apartment I was supposed to move into tomorrow. That's ok - I have my stuff like my little printer I love and my cool decorations like my wall of vintage records that I constructed.
I'm excited to redecorate my spacious room at my parents pad. It is the size of my living room in Manhattan and I have a real bed rather than a futon. It also has 2 windows with lots of sunlight and lots of greenery outside rather than a sliver of a window that allowed very little sunlight and a view of the corners of several buildings. I require a lot of sunlight. My parents living room is big enough that I can do Kristi's kickboxing without having to move anything! (My parents moved about a month ago so this is all new to me.) I haven't tried it yet, walking and yoga still tire me out but I eagerly anticipate the day.
I found out that I have to get a new cell phone plan. Verizon just doesn't do Oklahoma so have to get a new plan. I'm selling my phone if anyone wants it. I've had the phone less than a month. It's a cute little LG camera phone.
I've also found some agencies in Tulsa that seem promising, so I may try and get a job there when I feel up to working 40 hr. weeks. Tulsa is actually bigger than SLC - impressive, no?
I went to institute last night. I hate being new and late but typical of Mormon events, they didn't start on time. I really need to get a car. It's so weird to have to get rides all the times or have my parents drive me. Problems 1) I have no car 2) Even if I have a car I don't know where I am - at least I don't have to pay rent and food is free, right?
