What a crazy week! All of friends have left to go back to Provo and New York. And I am left again with my job search and Cafe Lalo. I had an interview with a recruiter for some large agencies. Hooray! Sometimes I think I really should just go to film school or portfolio school and then I realize I have no money and then I think I should get a job and save money to go film school or portfolio and then I realize I am back where I started.

My friend Beth that I went to London with me came to NYC for the 4th. She stopped by Lalo with some of her friends and it was slow so I got to wait on them. She made reference to a certain incident in London involving monkeys and English boys and castles as some of you may remember and we had a good laugh. She even noted that she had pictures of it! Sometimes I forget how retarded I am. She loved the Lalo outfits so I posed seductively in front of the desert case for a pic. (don't worry we don't really wear anything scandalous) We were going to go to the Moma (Museum of Modern Art) on Wednesday but then I had gotten called about an interview and there was a huge line. I met up with Beth and her other friend. We talked and hugged. She gave me some of her non-missionary clothes and wished me luck with my interview. I wished her luck on her mission and we were off.

Other excitement was caused by the bartender at Lalo who thinks that the waitresses actually mean something when they are joking around with him?!!!!! Uhm no. I just want to get my food to my tables with no hassle. Are you mental? He started doing dumb unprofessional things so that I couldn't get a bottle of wine for a table of guys that are regulars and he kept me later needlessly on the last night that my wonderful boyfriend Rushit was here in NYC because Rushit came in and I waited on him and his friend when they were in my section?! I could go on, but aside from that does anyone know of any advertising jobs?

Other highlights of my week include eating syrup with some waffle at Lalo with Rushit and hanging out. We went to Swanky Pete's, a funny little Mexican restaurant where everything suddenly becomes swankilicious. We walked around, checked out some cool architecture, saw the Statue of Liberty at night from the Staten Island ferry, and took a whirlwind trip of the Moma with free tickets. Now I'm off to go run in Central Park and count the number of homeless people I see. I think I want to do a study and see if the number increases/decreases over the summer. Then I may go shopping for professional interview type apparel. Isn't this the life.
